Pianist Kristen Flanagan is a performer, arts administrator, and teacher. She recently attended Brevard Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and Green Lake Chamber Music Festival. While at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she was the recipient of the Susan Cunningham Campbell award in 2015 and the Eugenie M. May Piano Performance Award in 2017. In the spring of 2018, she was selected to present her honors thesis on the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at the Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference. Additionally, she has held administrative positions at various performing arts organizations such as the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Spoleto Festival USA and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and is pursuing her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she studies with Gilles Vonsattel. Kristen is on faculty at the Community Music School of Springfield and organizes their Classical Chamber Music Series.
