The magic of merging cultures through music are the sounds of Duo Balalaika.

We are happy to present Duo Balalaika, the polished, experienced performers, merging cultures while making music – Siberian balalaika virtuoso (Oleg Kruglyakov) and American concert pianist (Terry Boyarsky). 

To kick-off (pun intended) their 18th performance season, Dances from Around the World is being premiered. When Siberian balalaika virtuoso (Oleg Kruglyakov) met American concert pianist (Terry Boyarsky) in 2007, the duo discovered that weaving the music of different cultures created more than the sum of their cultures.

This program shares their mission – to create experiences of a one-world community through music from different cultures – for universally enriching entertainment for diverse audiences.

This program will take you around the world with dance music, from the stately mazurka to the toe-tapping tango, from the Spanish jumping dance "Hota" to a Barcarolle, inspired by the gondoliers of Venice, plus stirring Gypsy music and soulful romances.
